Mobile Home Subjected to Foreclosure

Residents of a mobile home park in Illinois found out they may be losing their homes forever due to foreclosure after the park's owner unsuccessful with his Chapter 11 filing.
The owner of the park announced last year that he would be filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. While this would have been relatively good news – the park would be able to keep its doors open - residents' hopes were shattered after a recent court hearing. The judge involved in the case rejected the reorganization plan proposed by the owner which means that the park is now in the process of being foreclosed upon.
More than 30 residents have already been ejected from the park after receiving foreclosure notices last week. It appears as though new mortgages were sold on properties without the residents being told about the deals.
In addition to the Chapter 11 case, it has been reported that the CEO of the mobile home company is battling a personal bankruptcy case in court.
