Singer Faces Foreclosure of Chicago Property
Despite all of his successes over the past years, one singer has been informed that his property may be up for foreclosure in the near future.
After reviewing their records, a bank claims that the singer has not made a payment on his Chicago home since June 2010. The bank filed a complaint against the singer this week in County Circuit Court stating that he owes $2.9 million on his Chicago property, which itself is worth millions of dollars. Not only has the singer allegedly failed to make payments since last year, but the home's market value has dropped considerably over that time from $5.2 million to $3.8 million.
The singer was issued a loan in 1999 for $3.5 million to purchase the home; since June 2010, $2.9 million remained unpaid. In addition, the singer owes the unpaid interest as well, which accrues at a rate of $251 daily.
