Pizza Chain Gets Buy Out Offer
A popular pizza restaurant chain in Chicago, Illinois could be coming to the end of its business bankruptcy filing, thanks to a serious offer to buy out its restaurant operations.
According to a recent press release, another company that has experience in handling Italian restaurants has proposed to buy the chain for $26 million. Since the company already signed a confidentiality agreement with the potential buyer, no further details have been released to the media.
While the owners of the Chicago pizza chain had hoped to keep the business running within their own family, it soon became clear that they simply did not have the funds to do so. The bid to purchase the company came shortly after, an offer that seems to be too good to pass up.
However, there are other buyers who are interested in purchasing the current locations, but not in keeping the restaurant open. One of the locations, situated in the pricey Gold Coast area is considered the crown jewel of the restaurant's local enterprise.
