Professional Baseball Team Still Dealing with Bankruptcy Battle

A Los Angeles baseball team has had a difficult year while its owner not only went through a messy divorce, but filed for business bankruptcy as well.
The team was forced to file for bankruptcy back in June and it has not been an easy road since. Every step of the way, its owner has fought to keep the team in his name. However, his soon-to-be ex-wife does not want this to happen as she believes that she is entitled to half of the team's profits.
At this time, news sources say the most recent battle happening in a Los Angeles court is whether the team will be allowed to auction off its local television rights from the year 2014 and later. If the owner is successful in obtaining permission to auction the rights, this would help the team financially.
Yet, the operators of the professional baseball league and other creditors are attempting to block the move as they want access to those funds. Due to the conflict, the bankruptcy case is making its way through the system quite slowly.
